Hi, I’m Theara Chea! I’m a software engineer building event-driven systems that scale. I genuinely enjoy solving hard problems.

Currently at Travelers Insurance, I build the integrations and microservices that power underwriter workflows, from Kafka pipelines processing 40,000 events/min to cloud-native services on AWS and Kubernetes. My work spans distributed systems, cloud architecture, and full-stack development.

Technical expertise: Event-driven architecture, AWS, Kubernetes, Node.js/TypeScript, distributed systems, CI/CD

Current focus: Deepening my knowledge of AI, algorithms, system design patterns, and cloud-native architectures. M.S. in Computer Science from UIUC.
